Overview:

Heavy fighting raged around Bayeux, where Panzer-Lehr-Division had been thrown into the fighting. As British and Canadian troops attempted to push south towards Tilly and Lingévres, attack and counterattack ebbed and flowed across the Norman countryside. On 11 June, the 69th Brigade attacked towards Cristot and made some progress. Units of Panzer-Regiment 901, led by Major Prinz Wilhelm von Schönburg-Waldenburg, were ordered to counterattack. The troops set off in the late afternoon to confront the Allies head-on.
Attacker: German (Panzer-Lehr-Regiment 130, Panzer-Lehr-Division)
Defender: Commonwealth (3rd Canadian Infantry Division and (British) 22nd Armoured Brigade)

2023-10-29(D) Paul Works vs Tom Meier Commonwealth win
2023-10-20(A) Andy Bagley vs Neil brunger German winA tough struggle, although the Canadians really need their 76mm AT Guns to do some damage, and luck was with me here - one AT Gun malf'ed and the other, placed in a forward position, fell to infantry fire. This left the German tanks largely intact to provide fire support to my infantry, and enabled me to push forward on a broad front. Alongside this, my halftrack raced round the Allied rear to drop off a HS, then came back to pick up and do the same with another one; this left the Canadian infantry stretched very thin. Even so, they might have mounted a counterattack if a large CC (3 MMCs + leader apiece) had succeeded for them. As it was it resulted in mutual destruction, so my opponent, with very few troops left conceded on turn 6.
2023-10-15(D) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins German win
2023-10-15(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best German winVery hard-fought battle. My Germans advanced into the town as quickly as possible. The British AT Guns took out the half-track , a Panther and two MKIV's. Both sides suffered heavy losses, but MELEE's began to lock up Dan's key units and the Germans were able to swing around into the rear and track up locations. By game end the Germans had 22 locations for the win. Very fun scenario.
2023-10-01(A) Richard Jenulis vs Greg Rodgers German winThe German right flank looked in trouble, then an 8-0 leader rallied everyone and turned them fanatic to turn the game around again.
