Overview:
As the remnants of German forces in the Falaise Pocket crumbled, General Sir Bernard Mongomery ordered the British and Canadian armies to pursue the retreating Wehrmacht eastward toward the Seine. Initially slowed by the overwhelming number of German prisoners, the 2nd Canadian Division soon regained momentum. At the forefront of the pursuit, the 5th Brigade encountered determined resistance from German rearguard units. Along the Trun-Orbec road near Vimoutiers, the Black Watch came under heavy fire, prompting Le Régiment de Maisonneuve to join the fight to neutralize the enemy positions. Farther ahead, B Company of the Calgary Highlanders disrupted German engineers attempting to demolish a vital bridge.Attacker: Canadian (B Company, Calgary Highlanders pf Canada)

| 2026-07-10 | (D) Rob Tyson | vs | Douglas Leslie | German win | Fun little scenario. As the Germans I was ready to throw in the towel by turn 4 after Doug captured the bridge, but the dice gods decided to smile down on me by granting me an extra leader (Leader Promotion from self-rally) and then rolling lots of snake eyes. | ||
| 2026-07-10 | (D) Paul Legg | vs | Jeff Wasserman | Canadian win (VASL Log) | Friday Night Fight Got of to a poor start, rolling 1 on the ? SSR3, so no extra ? I elected to defend south of the river with the aim of delaying the Canadians until my reinforcements arrived. Just a half squad with the mmg north of the river firing straight down the bridge road. Oh and the dummies in the brush hex looking across to the west in front of the bridge buildings. | ||
| 2026-04-13 | (A) Chris Pavle | vs | Jody Sallans | Canadian win | German at start forces were decimated, but the reinforcements almost snatched the bridge back. | ||
| 2026-02-26 | (D) S. Slunt | vs | Robert Oler | German win | 4 hrs | Game turned out to be very exciting. The Germans were able to get a hero on to the bridge but it was still in Canadian possession. The last German movement phase was able to get the tank onto the bridge with the hero. We agreed that the tank needed to remain good order to maintain control. If it move off or or is eliminate the Bridge would go back to the Canadians. Canadian Last turn they self rallied a squad with a Piat. Prep fire he destroys the tank. But the crew survives. Now possessing the bridge and allowing the hero to maintain control if needed. At the end of Defensive and advance fire the only unit the Canadians were only able to advance a half squad to go into close combat with hero. Canadians roll to high the hero fails the Kill The bridge is still in the Germans hands for a very exciting and heart racing ending Thanks Rob for the game |
