Overview:

The lush, rolling fields of Normandy, bordered by dense bocage and small hamlets, had become a crucible of fierce combat following the Allied landings of D-Day. Among the troops pushing inland was the 49th (West Riding) Division, known as the "Polar Bears," tasked with advancing through formidable German defenses. The 6th Battalion, Duke od Wellington's Regiment (The Dukes), part of the 147th Brigade, had been engaged in continuous skirmishes since their arrival. Their objective was the strategic area around Tilly-sur-Seulles, a critical point for controlling the movement of forces in the region. Intelligence indicated that the Germans had heavily fortified the area, transforming farmhouses, hedgerows, and small wooded areas into formidable defensive positions.
Attacker: British (6th Battalion, Duke of Wellington's Regiment, 49th (West Riding) Division)

2026-01-18(D) Dave Mareske vs Brian Kegerreis German (SS) winWe flipped sides as the other club members were still engaged in a game. The Brits forced their way up the left flank, took out the two guns, but a couple of squads held them up for about three turns. A few Brits sneaked through but were not confident to take on the building without help. Once help arrived it was about one turn too late. A lone leader and a squad in Melee held on for control of the building.
2026-01-17(A) Dave Mareske vs Brian Kegerreis British winKCASL game day pick which finished up in a couple of hours. The defense took out two tanks, but the two remaining were able to surround the building and with some failed MCs on the SS the building was secured on Turn 6.
2025-12-27(A) Dan Best vs Dennis Dowd German (SS) win2 hrsFirst to play and post. British ELR of 2 is horrid. Hit the CVP cap at the end of turn 5.
