Overview:

Although the German spearhead had been blunted at Prokhorovka, the thrusts of SS-Panzerkorps II would continue to push forward for another day. However, General Rotmistov was now gaining the initiative, and the armored battles would be under circumstances of the Russians’ choosing. The Soviet tankers’ tactics of closing in to neutralize the gunnery advantage of the panzers was working, although loses were heavy on both sides. Further counterattacks by 5th Guards Tank Army would follow the pattern set in previous days, and intense, close quarter fighting would be the norm in the villages and fields around Iamki. Striking hard at the German right flank, the Russians managed a breakthrough at Storozhevoc, briefly encircling the town before a counterattack by Abteilung1 of SS-Panzergreandier-Regiment 2 forced them back.

2016-09-02(A) jon smith vs German (SS) wintigers ran amok amongst the t34s... but were destroyed by beserk infantry.. blazing cornfields, more broken guns than we could count and difficult lines of fire.. great game
2016-03-12(D) Andy Beaton vs Richard Hooks German (SS) winGermans went all out on one side and had the buildings in hand by turn 4, which meant I needed to win the tank battle to stay ahead.
Maneuvered for a one turn rush to get tanks behind the Tigers and kill them, which worked, but AFV casualties were ruinous and I conceded.
2016-01-10(D) Gordon Jupp vs Nick Holmshaw Russian win
2015-12-19(A) B-E Karlsson vs Russian Russian win
2014-02-01(A) Mark McG vs Neal German (SS) winNeed to read the Victory Conditions closely. Mult-LOCATION stone buildings, means there are 5 buildings. Also, AFV must be mobile within the two zones.

Was a good close match, Russians could win this.
2013-04-16(D) Lee Bray vs Russian winI really liked this scenario design - a three board set-up with two VC area at opposite ends and VPs awarded for buildings controlled and mobile AFVs with functioning MA within 5 hexes of a hex in each at game end. I chose to commit a string, but ultimately disposable force to one area and defend the other to the hilt. Highlights included taking out a tiger from the side while it was in bypass, an incredible AT gun which KOd three AFVs and was still in action at game end and stopping the SS infantry assault dead in its tracks. Lowlights included getting a KV Mired on my own trench and losing another to an AFPh KV from a tiger when I thought it was reasonably safe. All in all this promises mobile AFV action amid lots of grain (often on fire) and orchards with some tough infantry on both sides. It has plenty of toys and lots of options for both attacker and defender and thus a great deal of replay value. An outstanding design which has potential as a classic I think.
2012-10-27(D) Richard Carter vs Mark Moore German (SS) winI just got clobbered. I just couldn't go on after second to last turn. I thought I was doing well in beginning but it just turned against me. I was probably too aggressive as the Russians trying to get some tanks into position. I did like the scenario and wouldn't mind trying the Russians again, but toward the end it was really becoming discouraging.

2011-04-19(D) Richard Jenulis vs Bill Owen German (SS) win
2011-02-28(D) Steven Cummings vs Todd Hively German (SS) win
2011-02-26(D) Paolo Cariolato vs Dietsch German (SS) winGreat scenario, you really get to use combined arms in order to win. The german is favoured in this one.
2011-02-18(A) Paolo Cariolato vs Fabrizio Da Pra In progress
2011-01-22(A) Fred Ingram vs Rick Nieznanski German (SS) winThis was a scenario that definitely teaches not to quit too early. I took some AFV losses early in the game and I thought it was way out of reach. The ATMM capability of the German saved the day.
2010-11-01(A) X von Marwitz vs Christian Koppmeyer Russian win
2010-08-01(D) X von Marwitz vs Alex Koestler German (SS) win
2009-02-15(A) Eric Partizan Eric vs Michel Bongiovanni German (SS) win
2009-02-08(A) David Ramsey vs John O'Reilly Russian winTough on the Germans if you don't have a solid plan. Don't lose AFVs to the Guns and you have to split your attack. Needs careful attention to pull off the German win - I got nowhere near!
