Overview:
In spite of a non-intervention policy adopted by the League of Nations, foreign nationals flocked to Spain by the thousands. As a result, both the Nationalists and the Republicans used foreign troops to fight their war. On March 8, the Nationalists opened an offensive with the objective of taking Guadalajara and surrounding Madrid. Near Brihuega, in one of the ironies that only a conflict as convoluted as this could produce, units of the same nationality clashed on the road to Guadalajara – the Garbaldi Battalion of the 13th International Brigade made up of Italian socialists, communists, and other anti-fascists clashed with the Black Flame Division of the regular Italian army.Attacker: Republican (Garibaldi Battalion)
Defender: Nationalist (Black Flame Division and attached Armor)

2022-12-22 | (D) mark Ruggiero | vs | republican | Nationalist win | Lots of close combat and the nationalist did well. Very close game and could have gone either way. The Nationalist managed to break the MA on their little tankettes. fun scenario
2022-11-27 | (A) Jobbo Fett | vs | JobboFett | Republican win | A close fight that saw two turns of vast numbers of troops breaking and being eliminated for failure to rout. The Republicans made good use of their turn 1 movement to nab two of the four buildings needed, and the back-and-forth between the two sides often came down to close combats, where the 1fp advantage (per squad) really shone. Although the CVP was lopsided, the dramatic end was far closer than the points would lead you to believe.
2022-11-11 | (A) Dmitry Klyuykov | vs | Herbert | Republican win (VASL Log) | Another great close game with Herbert. Republicans started for the peace, breaking their MGs trying to hit some sitting ducks tanks but were able to reach the solid positions in the village. Nationalists occupied upper floor of the manor to cover the whole place with 3 MMGs fire (we used Nationalists balance). Both sides reaped CVP in CCs and finishing broken low-morale units. Tanks were doing a great job in hindering the Republican fire with VBM, but one tank were recalled after the Stun and another became blazing wreck after lucky Street Fighting. On the last Turn Nationalists were able to capture the second victory building, but in the last CC of the game Republican rolled an Ambush and safely withdrawn to the second hex of controlled building.
2022-08-04 | (D) Andy Beaton | vs | James Rimmer | Republican win | Republican machineguns in the big building broke up my attacks and allowed Repub troops to swarm mine in close combat.
2022-03-19 | (D) nathan wegener | vs | Tom Meier | Republican win | Tough loss - major mistake turn 1 exposing 9-1 to shot in Chateau. He broke and down went 2 squads. Wounded himself on rally attempt and basically blew the game. Made it close as my L3's took hit after hit but eventually 2 were knocked out. I had 3 buildings briefly but rush on my left flank lost the solo building so I lost by CVP. MM2022

2020-11-24 | (D) Jeff B | vs | Joe Arthur | Nationalist win | 5.25 hrs | Pretty hokey little scenario. The Republicans are guaranteed to gain 3/4 of the buildings on their first turn. They should never be allowed to claim the chateau. This still places the onus on the Nationalists to retake one building and win the CVP battle. This will be difficult considering their tanks are sitting ducks. Much will come down to how lucky the Republicans are taking them out. I was perhaps too aggressive with mine and left them in harm's way too many times. Again, per the script, nothing will prevent the Republicans from sending a strong force into 6K8. This building will be the obvious battleground for the rest of the game. I managed to reclaim it for all effects and purposes on Turn 4. This left two turns to try and grab another building surrounded by open ground - or so I thought at first glance. The Republicans made what turned out to be a strategic blunder by declaring NQ early. I also made the mistake, but thankfully much later. Never in a million years did I think I could offset my lost tanks, but when I did the math I was only a few CVP behind going into my last turn. With some extremely lucky shooting I broke 1.5 squads and a 9-1, whom I was able to eliminate for FTR. Then it was only a matter of surviving his DFPh (which I did). The CVP ended in a tie, which granted me the victory. Very, very difficult if the Republicans play it correctly. Dud city.

2017-09-06 | (A) Martí Cabré | vs | Toze Santos | Republican win | Republican units quickly seized control of the target buildings and also managed to kill a Nationalist tank. Meanwhile Nationalist infantry took a lot of casualites and got engaged in Melee against the odds, causing the Nationalist player to concede after three turns.
