Overview:

In anticipation of the German summer offensive, the Russians had carefully laid down their defenses: vast fields of mines, extensive networks of trenches, interlocked strong points, and deep wire entanglements. On the evening before the much anticipated offensive was set to be unleashed, the Germans sent advance elements of the assault divisions into no man’s land to seize the forward Russian defensive positions for use as jump off points for the attack. At 1600, probing elements of the Grenadier Regiment of Gross Deutschland pushed off and found out just how well dug in the Russians were on the edges of the Kursk bulge.
Attacker: German (Battalion III, Grenadier Regiment, Panzergrenadier Division Gross Deutschland)
Defender: Russian (3rd Battalion, 199th Rifle Regiment, 67th Guards Rifle Division, 22nd Guards Rifle Corps)

2020-12-06(D) Vilis Pavulans vs Matias Dahlbäck Russian winA hard approach for the germans. A little too little produced by the Stukas. A bit well placed rounds from the russian guns decimated the open topped vehicles and a Stug and then HMGs ripping the infantry to shreds made the game more or less done by the end of turn 4. The german side decided to retreat.. to Berlin...

2019-05-26(A) Ron Garcia vs Darryl M. Russian win
2017-04-06(A) Tom Kearney vs Alan Saltzman Russian winI managed to capture the central hill for two points, and gain the point for causing Soviet casualties. However, the Soviets inflicted heavy casualties on my troops, forcing me to go for a further objective; the buildings on the German right flank. I fell short of this objective as time ran out. The Soviet pilot should receive recognition as Hero of the Soviet Union for his performance.
2014-02-14(D) Gordon Jupp vs Nick Holmshaw Russian winGermans broke one of their mortars on turn 1 and the air support was pretty ineffective. Russian guns were outstanding and I didn't malf any of them for a change. The two 76L were placed way back on the Russian baseline almost and caught the German armour in the rear when it tried a flanking run around the back...
2013-12-14(D) Andy Hershey vs Wayne Saunders Russian win[Imported from ROAR]
2013-05-24(A) Glen Taylor vs Dennis German winAir support was ineffective. Germans brought the group with the flamethrower in on turn 4 under the cover of smoke and unloaded clase to town and quickly overran Russians. Level 2 hexes were taken at that time also.
2012-03-07(A) Jeff Waldon vs Will Willow German winVASL-The III/Grenadier GD attacked on the west side of the hill, tactically suprising the Russians and avoiding the minefields and wire. German win at end of Turn 5 with 3 VP. As the Scenario Attacker I had a great deal of fun planning my attack and executing it in this scenario.
