Overview:

The situation for Polish Armies ‘Krakow’ and ‘Lodz’ was becoming desperate by 5 September. The thrust by Panzer Division 1 had separated these Armies, and their ability to fall back to subsequent positions was threatened. The 10th Motorized “Black Brigade”, fighting near Dobczyce, was engaged by elements of the 2nd Panzer, 4th Light, and 3rd Mountain Divisions. On 4 September, the Black Brigade launched a small counterattack to block the German advance, but was eventually forced to withdraw north towards Kazina. The Poles established a delaying position near the hamlet. Schuetzen Regiment 2, reinforced with tanks, assaulted the position.
Attacker: German (Reinforced elements Schützen-Regiment 2, 2nd Panzer Division)
Defender: Polish (Reinforced elements 10th Mounted Rifle Regt., 10th Motorized Cavalry Brigade)

2020-12-04(D) Andy Beaton vs Darren Kovacs German winFirst half was all Poles as the Polish 37 killed AFV after AFV. I couldn't prevent German AT guns from being set up on the hills though and they proceeded to completely slaughter the Polish armour. I was relying ontoo much on the difficulty of killing concealed double small TKSs in buildings, but the Germans rolled abundant 4's. In retrospect, it might have been wise to hide one AFV behind the woods.
2020-10-22(A) Jason Nichols vs Rob MacGinley Polish winMy second PBEM game with Rob. Found myself behind the eight-ball from the start after trying to move a Panzer II forward without incurring the movement penalties for using bypass while moving to a higher level. Lost that tank. Didn't have much luck with moving the armour through woods either with two succumbing to bog. Even when I had a good shot on a Polish squad and leader I only succeeded in turning them fanatic with the result that they charged and destroyed another tank. My infantry also didn't stand up well to fire and my poor choice of moving a stack with a leader to get the extra movement points resulted in them breaking on a 4 even shot! All in all the Germans never worried the Poles even though I did knock out two of his tankettes with the 75mm Inf Gun. I should have concentrated my forces and used the infantry to scout out his positions (more deployment). Nevertheless it was an enjoyable scenario and I would play it again.
