Overview:
The Italo-Greek war broke out on 28 October, 1940, when Italian forces on the Macedonian Front moved over the Greek border to only secure some defensive positions. On November 1st, the Greek IX Division launched an attack and retook the village of Treni, opening a gap in the Italian defensive line.
