Overview:

In the summer of 1942, Japanese forces were steadily adancing up the Kokoda Trail. Papua Scouts under the command of Liestenant John Chalk had been watching their movements and reporting back to headquarters. Major William Watson, the commander of the PIB wrote a single order for Chalk on the briefing room chalkboard. "You will engage the enemy". Chalk would assemble troops to ambush the approaching Japanese at Awala.
